Justin's Week Off

I've been kind of a blogging slacker, because Justin was actually off two weeks ago. The weather was fairly good that week, so we were able to do a lot outside. We got a new bike trailer and so we road around White House a little, went to the park and flew a kite (sort of). Justin took care of mowing the lawn and washing the cars. I helped by thoroughly cleaning the inside of our dirty cars. They were so nice and clean. I really do love getting into a clean car. Anyway...

We all really enjoyed the day spent at the Nashville Zoo. I was very impressed with it. The walkways were fairly shaded and we did see lots of animals. Isabella especially loved the meercats, fish, birds, and elephants. She was also VERY attached to her duck. See if you can spot it in four out of the five pictures we took that day. There are bonus points involved if you can figure out where it is in the fifth picture.

A Huge Milestone!

On Sunday I actaully got to sit in Sunday School, open my scriptures and contribute to the disscussion. Yep, Isabella is 18 months old and that means nursery. Hurray!!! She was so good. I think it helped that her friends Emma and Greta were there. The leaders had to come and get me to change her diaper and when I took her back, she cried for a minute. But when Justin went to get her after church, he said she was having fun and played with all the kids.
Grandma Wilson made Izzy this Easter dress, only she had like three Easter dresses, so this is the first chance we had to wear it. What a cutie!!

At her 18 month check up, Izzy weighed 23 pounds (about 25th percentile) and was 32 1/2 inches tall (about the 85th percentile). She absolutely hated her doctors appointment. She really doesn't like anyone to touch her including Justin and me sometimes. She screamed and cried the whole time. Any suggestions on how to help? I guess she doesn't have to go again until she is 2, so hopefully she will be better.

I'm so proud of my Isabella Dawn and how much she is learning and growing. Her day to day accomplishments constantly amaze me. I'm even more amazed when Justin comes home after not seeing her for a few days and recognizes all her new tricks. I love you Izzy!!!

Special Girl

This is my first post ever, I don't like blogs and don't usually do this sort of thing but I feel compelled to make an entry. The other day I forgot my cell phone and pager when I left for work, usually this is not a big deal. I got off from work very late, I was on an acute pain service so I felt an obligation to stick around and get all my patients pain free. I was on my way home when I noticed steam from my hood, next thing I knew I was broke down in the middle of no where. I walked a ways until I reached a house where I could use a phone, after much coaxing I managed to talk the nice fellow into calling my wife, who did not answer. So anyway I finally got home around 10pm, those of you who know me know this is late to me. I noticed my cell phone had about 20 missed calls with about 5 messages. I was heart broken over the news that those messages revealed. I have a friend, the type you never talk to but when you go home it is like you never left. Well his daughter passed away, all I could do was cry for him. You see, I have been changed. Before I had sympathy, having a little girl of my own has given me empathy. I just kept imagining myself in his shoes, and how he must feel. After I spoke with him I learned he must be the strongest person I know, I am honored to be friends with such an individual. It's times like these that knowledge and eternal perspective is a blanket of comfort.

What I did during Conference

I very much enjoyed the parts of Conference I was able to watch this weekend. There were several talks that seemed to pinpoint exact answers to my prayers. Our leaders are truly inspired from God. I admit that during the solemn assemble Saturday morning I became a little choked up to sustain a new prophet. Mostly it was because it was sad that we would not get to hear from President Hinkley, but also because I was able to stand a sustain President Monson and I know that he will lead our church wisely. He is indeed of Prophet of God.

Isabella slept through both morning sessions, so those were the ones I actually got to listen to the most. They were also the sessions I could sit and scrapbook while listening. I have been aching to get some good scrap booking done. We had a scrap booking group in our ward get together last week and since than I have been crazy about tying up loose ends in a bunch of my old books. It helped that I ordered some stuff that I needed to finish up. Anyway, I'm very proud to say that I am nearly scrapbooked to date (eat your heart out Jensa)!! I have been working on Isabella's book and today I nearly finished all the picts from 2007.

Okay so here is my huge plug for Creative Memories:

They have these packages called Power Pallets that are absolutely amazing. I have spent lots of money on random paper and never used it (in fact I still have it in a pile somewhere). These packs come with everything you need for creating an entire year of pictures and they are beautiful!! The thing that I love the most is everything coordinates well and the idea book tells you exactly where to put everything. For me, not being creative or wanting to spend a year figuring out what to do with my pictures, this works perfectly. I accomplished so much in such a short period of time and it looks so fun. I also was able to do a lot of journaling which is so important to me. I'm still attempting to run a business, so if you are interested in any products or have any questions, just let me know.

CM recently changed to true 12x12 pages (before they were like 12x11.75 or something) which is so great. One of my friends took all her 12x12 pages out of her very unsafe binder album and stuck them directly in new CM album. It looks great and took her hardly any time. My sister, Amy, is planning on doing the same thing because the cheaper albums she purchased are ruining her pages. If you can't tell, I'm a huge advocate for using CM supplies. I have tried other products and I always come back to CM. If you want to check out the new fabulous products, you can go to my website:

www.mycmsite.com/sites/abbywilson

You can directly order from that site and have products shipped to your door.

Here is sample of some of my work. The first three are pages I did today and yesterday. The other two are from Izzy's baby book that I absolutely love. Let me know what you think.
